DEL REY Systems & Technology, Inc. (DEL REY) was conceived in response to a personal crisis of a close family friend whose husband passed away while supporting a contract with significant remaining activity and value. Concerned the widow would lose the value of the effort, Nancy S. Miller broached the idea of creating a new corporation to execute the remainder of the task.  After a great deal of consultation, discussion, and prayer the decision was made to create a new company.

Nancy S. Miller successfully formed the new company and named it DEL REY in recognition of her Hispanic Heritage.  The company enjoyed slow but steady growth and the addition of Jim Miller to the  DEL REY management team in 2003 allowed DEL REY to expand at a faster pace. Originally serving as the VP of Operations, and currently as the CEO, Jim has successfully grown the company to over 100 people and broadened the company’s service offerings across a full range of technical and non-technical support.

On January 1, 2008, DEL REY became an Employee Owned Company (ESOP).

2015 was the year-long celebration of 20 years of DEL REY success.

2017 – Nancy passed majority ownership to Jim Miller which resulted in the change in small business designation from a Minority Woman-Owned to a Veteran Owned Small Business.

Factoid: DEL REY continues to support the original contract that gave life to the startup company in 1995.
